The men of the 12th Battalion Manchester Regiment were stationed in Dorset whilst training in 1914 – 1915. These photos were given to Emily Dunning by the men of the battalion, who made several friends with local residents. Emily’s story can be found here.
4063 Pte J O’Connor, 12th Manchester Regiment. John was Killed in Action on the 3rd September 1915.
