Dorset in the Great War
1914 – 1918
Welcome to the Dorset in the Great War website. This site is dedicated to the memory of the men and women of Dorset, who fought and served during the Great War 1914 – 1918.
I aim to commemorate and add details about the Men and Women listed on War Memorials across the county, as well those who came from Dorset. You can also find information covering the Dorsetshire Regiment and the Queen’s Own Dorset Yeomanry in the Great War too.
If you have any information you would like to add about Dorset in the Great War, or those listed on the War Memorials then please feel free to contact me via the contact page.
All work on this site has been researched and compiled by myself when time permits. The site is currently, and will remain a work in progress. I hope to add regular updates with more information, so please do check back.
